About Me
My artworks are large-format paintings and graffiti that address ethical, moral, sexual, and religious themes. From an aesthetic point of view, they have certain influences from surrealism, pop art, naïve painting and street art. The symbology around the animal universe is key in the pieces, as well as the allusions to the cycles of life and death, good and evil, reality and fiction.

My works are distinguished by great visual poetry. They are a dreamlike journey that perhaps makes us escape from the circumstances we
inhabit, and makes us rediscover ourselves in another dimension of
existence.

“At the height of the Covid pandemic, in 2020 and 2021, the artist began making drawings of monumental dimensions in outdoor spaces, specifically on the walls of a dam in his town, using materials such as charcoal, stone, and roof tiles. These were completely ephemeral and performative acts: after finishing the drawings, the artist erased them using water from the same dam, and only photo or video documentation remained.
Regarding the origin of these monumental interventions, Rosendo says that, faced with his inactivity due to the absence of materials, his father told him: ‘that is an excuse. Paint with charcoal and stone and hit me in the face’ (a popular expression in Cuba to indicate ‘show me that you can’ or ‘surprise me’). Beautiful example of the enormous power of a father’s or mother’s love, those beings who are always there to lend us a hand, especially in the most difficult moments”
